Lecture Evaluation Survey Responses from Current Students

We have been conducting lecture evaluation surveys at the Graduate School of Economics since the 2010 academic year. The overall results of the surveys tell us that graduate school students have been highly satisfied with the teaching staff’s kind and detailed classroom explanations, and also with the selection of textbooks that match the students’ levels of understanding and interest them. The following are a few comments provided by students in the surveys.

The video teaching materials are used quite often, which helps me to soak up information like a sponge.

I really enjoy attending class because the professor is able to fully explain extremely difficult and technical mathematical concepts.

I have a lot of fun during lectures because the professor provides us with knowledge related to the lecture topics, as well as similar but unrelated ideas and opinions covering a wide range of subjects. The professor is capable of answering any type of question, even questions that are not directly related to the lecture topics (but still related to the field of economics).

The professor uses kind and considerate teaching methods and explains new concepts in great detail one at a time, which helps the information really sink in. Thanks to this professor’s assistance, I was able to begin preparing for my master’s thesis early on.
